Katriel: Original D&D Character | Tiefling Warlock
An alternate outfit for my D&D character, Katriel. The coffee pot on his waist houses his Demon Patron, Keurig
I wanted the fabric to convey a kind of iridescent sheen to it, like the kind that color-shift.
In-universe my character is a seamster and regularly crafts outfits like this one. Though this is an alternate outfit intended for his foray into the magical woods, it soon became one of my favorites.
This is the original outfit I started the campaign in. It's more reflective of his personal style-- a kind of combat chic with a lot of asymmetry and belts. Pictured here are other outfit concepts showcasing his style.
Past vs. Present. I wanted to show the subtle changes in the character from his past to his present self. He used to have a gentler, kinder expression in contrast to his tired and stoic look now. I also wanted to show the changes in his build & style
Concept sketch of a younger Katriel that helped shaped my idea of who the character is today. I wanted a Tiefling with a gentle demeanor that grew into a jaded and tired adult.
This is the original concept of his current incarnation. I knew I wanted dark circles and downturned eyes from the beginning, as well as horns that hugged his skull in an almost crown shape, but didn't have him fully fleshed out yet.
Originally, Katriel was a more female-presenting Tiefling (still male) that crossdressed for hobby and for his craft. Since playing the campaign, he kind of took a life of his own and this concept was abandoned as the character became more fleshed out.
